Camping...

We got to go on a camping trip last weekend at a little town outside of our city. It was both kids' first time to sleep in a tent. They really enjoyed it. The first night, Kaiyah, crawled all over the tent, we think, because she's used to sleeping in a bed with sides and she couldn't find the sides of the tent. The second night, she was really tired and slept all night long. We hardly saw Zeke all weekend. Every time we turned around, he would say, "I'm going to find my friends," and he was off. He attached himself to a group of 5 or 6 little girls, ranging in age from 6 to 11 years old. It was really cute. Here are a couple of pictures. Dan also acted as the camp photographer and you can see those pictures if you click here.

Sweet Potato Garden

Since moving here, my taste buds have been deprived of the wonderful taste of a sweet potato. However, last October my brother and sister-in-law gave me some sweet potatos from their garden and I've been waiting excitedly for warm weather to get here so I could try my hand at growing some. A green thumb I don't have, so we will see how this attempt turns out. I'll keep you posted! Here is a picture of stage 1!!! Any advice is welcomed!

A Near Fall...

What do you get when you're thirty years old and use your shin to stop you from falling off the jungle gym at the local playground?

Happy Birthday, Tami!!!!!!!!!

Thirty-one years ago today, God blessed me in a way that I wouldn't even find out until over 25 years later. On that day, Ron and Anita Hunt gave birth to a baby girl in Tulsa, OK. They named her Tamara and called her Tami for short. Twenty-three years later, after living all over the world, God brought Ron and Anita to Memphis, TN, where Tami and I eventually came together. I thank God every day for His wisdom and His timing. Tami, I thank God every day for having given you to me. I am thankful for each year of your life and I hope for many, many more. I love you bunches. Happy Birthday!Tami at about Kaiyah's age.
Tami now. (Just as pretty, if not more so.)
