Go Tigers Go!

Well, this isn't really about life over here, but Dan's University of Memphis Tigers have improved to 20-0, becoming the only unbeaten team left in NCAA Division One basketball. That deserves a little recognition. They did it last night (well, early this morning to us) against Houston, as Kansas fell to Kansas State about the same time. Click here to read about it. That's also the source of the CDR picture. Dan thinks it's a going to be a good year for them in March. We'd love to hear your projections. So, even from the other side of the world, Dan's blood runs blue and he couldn't be more excited for the Tigers.
On a side note, whenever we wear our Tigers garb, Zeke runs up to us, points at the logo, and growls like a tiger.

GO TIGERS GO!

Rich, Fudgy Brownies...With What?

So, we've been looking for a good not-from-box brownie recipe since we got here. So far the ones we've heard of have been either dry or cake-like, so Tami found this recipe on the internet for brownies that claimed to be rich and fudgy. Here's the picture of the outcome...
So, they look pretty good, huh? That's what we thought, too. However, they called for one somewhat peculiar ingredient that made them moist. Rather than eggs, we used grated zucchini! Yeah, so they looked really good, but (imagine that) they ended up tasting like they had zucchini in them. We tried to pass them off on Zeke, but he wouldn't even go for them. All that to say that if you have a good brownie recipe that doesn't involve a box or some strange vegetable, we'd love to have it.

Hey, here's the latest 3-D ultrasound picture.
Is there something familiar about this?

Cats, Cats, Cats...

So, Dan's sister, Elizabeth, has really taken off and passed us with this whole blogging thing. You can check hers out here. Anyway, she told us we needed to blog again, so we went out today to find something interesting to do.

We went down to one of the city's main touristy areas, where we ran into 11 cats all in one group. Well, Dan and Zeke love cats, so they both took off towards them. Zeke didn't finish his lunch, so we had a little chicken and bread left over. The cats loved the chicken and were a little more disappointed in the bread. They ate it, nonetheless.
At one point, Dan was feeding the cats and Tami was taking pictures; they looked down to see Zeke holding a bowl of milk that someone had left for the cats. We think we got to him before he drank any, but he did have some running down the front of his coat. Some things are better left unknown!

Oh, Dan says he hasn't put on that much weight, in case you were wondering; he's just got a fleece on under his sweatshirt.
