Pick a color, any color...

So, we got home the other day and the front wall of our lobby was painted 5 different colors. They asked us which color we wanted for the building (apparently they're repainting). We just thought that was a truly democratic way to go about it. Which color would you pick?

Lee and Tori are gone... :-(

Well, we had lots of fun with Lee and Tori while they were here. We feel blessed that they would come and spend time with us. During their stay, I found out that Tori is a lot more like me than I ever knew, even as we grew up together. Tori, I love you lots and already can't wait to see you again. Lee, I can't think of anyone else that I would rather see with Tori than you. It's been fun hanging out this past week, as we haven't had much chance to do that up to now. Here is a link to the rest of the photos from our week together. If you missed the first set, check the post below. Enjoy.

Tori and Lee are here!!!!!

And we're having lots of fun! Tori and Lee got in Sunday afternoon, and we've been having fun since, seeing the sights, playing with the kids, playing Wii, and so much more. Lee and Dan even shared a sheep intestine sandwich. Here are a few pictures. For more, click here.

A Week of Sickness . . .

It all began last Thursday when Dan reached down to pick up Kaiyah, realizing only as he rose up that he could no longer stand or turn in any direction without being having a great pain in his lower back. So, off he went to the hospital, a two minute walk from our house, where he was diagnosed in a language that we didn't understand and thus can't tell you exactly what he had. But we do know that his vertebrae where sitting on top of each other in his x-ray, without the nice little cushion of gelly fluid stuff that is supposed to be there. He was given some medicine to try for a few days, and when that seem to make minimal improvement to his situation, he was put on a regiment of daily physical therapy for 15 to 20 days.

Meanwhile, Sunday rolls around and Kaiyah starts running a fever. We just assumed it was due to teething. Four of her upper teeth look like they are making their way down, some further along than others. And thus, we got pictures like this:
and this . . .
Finally, it seems like she just might be on the mend. Tuesday night she went to sleep and it seemed like there just might be some sleep in store for the rest of us as well . . . until Zeke woke up at 4:30 in the morning running a fever of 103 degrees, producing pictures like this . . .
Hopefully he will be on the mend quickly and ready for the 3 weeks of company we have coming, starting with Uncle Lee and Aunt Tori arriving this Sunday!
