Road Trip Part One: Salesville, AR...

Well, we started our roadtrip on Thursday with a trip to Salesville, AR, just outside of Mountain Home. We went there to spend time with Dan's side of the family. We met his Mom and Dad and Grandma, his brother, Fred, with his wife, Jennifer, and their children Clayton and Jack. Tori and Lee were there, too. Oh yeah, and Poco (the family dog).
Elizabeth and Zach were planning to come, but there was a death in Zach's family, so they couldn't make it. We thought about them a lot, though.
We had a really good time. Everyone but Grandma, Zeke, and Jack went fishing. Lee, Dad, Fred, and Tori caught a lot of fish. Tami and Jennifer caught two fish apiece, and Mom even caught one. Dan caught, uh, none. Oh well. It was still fun. Zeke was a little sick over the weekend, but he still managed to have fun with his cousin, Jack, who's just about 3 1/2 months older than him. There are some pictures of them on Zeke's blog. Check it out.
The first stop was a lot of fun. Next stop: Temple, TX, to see Tami's brother, Cortney, and Alicia, Zachary, Sydney, and Averi.

Life speeds by . . .

It has been awhile since our last post, mainly because we have not had a spare moment to write anything. This coming weekend will be the first weekend we've been home in over a month. This past weekend, Dan was in the wedding of one of his college roommates.

The wedding was very pretty, and it was great reconnecting with old friends.

We move out of our home two weeks from Thursday. So the rest of our time has been spent throwing things into suitcases to take with us, in boxes to store, or in the trash to get rid of. It looks like Zeke might have been put in the wrong pile! ;)

We will spend the month of July visiting family and friends, and then August starts two month of training in preparation for the next phase of life. We are excited to get started, but sad to leave all our friends and family here.
