Road Trip Part One: Salesville, AR...

Well, we started our roadtrip on Thursday with a trip to Salesville, AR, just outside of Mountain Home. We went there to spend time with Dan's side of the family. We met his Mom and Dad and Grandma, his brother, Fred, with his wife, Jennifer, and their children Clayton and Jack. Tori and Lee were there, too. Oh yeah, and Poco (the family dog).
Elizabeth and Zach were planning to come, but there was a death in Zach's family, so they couldn't make it. We thought about them a lot, though.
We had a really good time. Everyone but Grandma, Zeke, and Jack went fishing. Lee, Dad, Fred, and Tori caught a lot of fish. Tami and Jennifer caught two fish apiece, and Mom even caught one. Dan caught, uh, none. Oh well. It was still fun. Zeke was a little sick over the weekend, but he still managed to have fun with his cousin, Jack, who's just about 3 1/2 months older than him. There are some pictures of them on Zeke's blog. Check it out.
The first stop was a lot of fun. Next stop: Temple, TX, to see Tami's brother, Cortney, and Alicia, Zachary, Sydney, and Averi.

That sure is a good looking family! We did have a really good time. But I beg to differ - Mom (me) caught 2 fish not 1. Thanks family for a great time and good memories.

It was a great weekend. And remember Dan, It's not the number of fish you catch that counts, it's the opportunities you leave for everyone else.

I'm sorry, Mom. Tami told me you caught two after I wrote it. I told her you would correct me if I was wrong. And Dad, that's exactly what I was trying to do. I just wanted everyone else to have fun.
